After the first viewing of the music video 'Telephone' by Lady Gaga I thought there were lots of post modernist views and directions within the video.
Firstly right at the start of the video I think there is hybridity. This is because there is a mix between high and low culture, Gaga is dressed in a very creative, "glamourous" and stylistic dress which she is stripped of in a Jail cell. This suggests that the levels of class has been mixed. Also whilst she is in the Jail she is still wearing highly stylized and customized clothing.
Throughout there is lots of intertexuality, such as the 'pussy wagon' used which is from kill bill which is also known to be post modern. There is referencing to the fact that Gaga is a female and not a male which was a rumour in reality at the begining this is also bluring of reality and narrative.
I also felt there is society in the septical as Beyonce features in the video.
